A Lizard and A Water Snake

On the brink of a vast and deep pond, a curious lizard sauntered, seeking the thrill of new escapades. With an adventurous spirit, it prowled the pond's edge, tongue flicking out in anticipation. Suddenly, a head bobbed from the watery depths, wiggling about as if on a secret mission. Intrigued, the lizard edged closer, only to find, with a mix of surprise and intrigue, a water snake playing peek-a-boo from the pond.

At that time the water snake also saw the presence of the lizard and approached it, after getting close to the lizard, the snake raised its head and said: "What is this fat lizard doing on the side of the pond?"

The lizard stayed away from the snake because he was afraid of being eaten by it "I'm just looking for a new activity, I just want to find an adventure". Said the Lizard.

"Why are you avoiding me? I'm not eating you; I've had my fill of the little fish in the pond," said the Snake.

"So, you want an exciting adventure" said the snake as he hissed "Yes that's right I'm eager to try something new" said the Lizard eagerly "Have you ever crossed this pond by yourself?" Asked the Snake.

"I've never crossed it, it's too big for me to cross, although I can swim a bit, but I'm afraid to cross it from one bank to the other." The Lizard said.

"If you want to cross it, I'll help you!" said the Snake. The Lizard was eager to cross it and without thinking, the Lizard accepted the Snake's invitation "Okay then, find something that can be used as a rope!" asked the Snake

"What is the rope for?" asked the Lizard in surprise "The rope is for you to tie to my tail when we swim across this pond you won't drown, I will pull you to the surface!" explained the Snake.

Then, the Lizard searched for a rope at the pool's edge and found one. Subsequently, the Lizard tied its front legs to the Snake's tail very tightly. Together, the Snake and the Lizard began swimming across the large pond. However, midway, the Snake plotted to drown the lizard before reaching the shore. Just as the snake was about to execute its plan, its head was suddenly yanked upwards. Despite its desperate struggles, it was futile; a sparrow had seized the lizard, leaving the Snake dangling in mid-air. It was then that the sparrow realized it had captured not just the lizard but also a the Snake, its tail knotted to the Lizard's leg.

The moral of the story of the Water Lizard and Snake is to keep ourselves away from bad intentions, because it will only harm us in the future.
